FAQ

How do I access my McGraw Hill medical subscription?

Learn how to gain remote access to your institution's Access Medical subscription and create an MH Account.

Many institutions provide a username and password through the library to provide remote access to their users. If your institution provides remote access this way:

  1. Go to your institution's library website.
  2. Locate the databases or electronic resources page.
  3. Locate the site you wish to access. When you click on it, you will be re-routed to your institution's log-in page and asked for your institutional log-in credentials (often the same username and password you use to log into your computer or gain access to your institution's intranet, though log-in credentials vary by institution). Once you have logged in, you will be rerouted to the site.

Note: Not all institutions provide remote access this way. If the instructions above do not apply to you, please contact your library to find out about remote access at your institution.

Once there, please create a free McGraw Hill (MH) Access account so you can log in directly to the site moving forward. Once you affiliate your personal account with your institution, your account will be affiliated with your institution for 180 days until you have to reaffiliate with the institution.

Please note that if you go home or off campus, this doesn't mean that you will be automatically logged in to your personal McGraw Hill Access account. The 180-day affiliation just means that your personal account (once logged in) will be automatically affiliated with your institution.

Check that you have access!

  1. Confirm you can access content without logging into your McGraw Hill Access Account. You should see the name of your institution in the top right.
  2. Log into your McGraw Hill Access Account. You should see your name in the top left. This will refresh the institutional affiliation for another 180 days.

If you are still unable to access content after reaffiliating, please visit the Access site's support page (ex. https://accesspharmacy.mhmedical.com/support) while connected through your institution and send us a screenshot of that page. This will help us verify how the system is recognizing your connection.
