What is the policy for archiving books in AccessMedicine? I understand that old editions are archived but titles which have not been updated are also being archived.

For example, Lean Six Sigma for Hospitals, which does not have a new edition, has been moved to the archive. There is no new edition for this book. Is there a general policy of when books are archived, whether updated or not?

Answers

Hello, Ruth:

Thank you for your question! We moved the health care quality books like this one to the Hospital Corner to try to help organize the content in a way that practicing providers could have access to the information that is more applicable to them. We felt that the students could thereby have information that is more applicable to where they are in training without seeing information that cluttered their view. The titles were archived from the main library but will still remain in the Hospital Corner. If you have additional questions about this, please feel free to email userservices@mheducation.com.
